8/3/16 Art History II

Today's Class-  Today was our final meeting of the class.  I returned a few more items, had a few students present things to the class, and answered a few questions.

I will calculate final class grades over the next few days and expect to have them submitted to the college by the end of the week.   When they release the to the students I have no idea.

Enjoy the rest of your summer.

8/2/16 Art History II

Today's Class- I opened by having some students present current events articles that they had turned in yesterday, things that could lead to class discussions.  Topics today included should Hitler's boyhood home be preserved as a museum or destroyed (overwhelming opinion was the former) and should a replica of Michelangelo's David in a public space in Russia be left uncovered for all to see?  (Knowing that in Italy they have a full size replica in a public square, I'm ok with it, but conceded that it is up to the people in that location to decide.)  The second exams were returned graded.  Most people did better on this one than the previous one, though there were still some issues with the grading.  More written assignments were collected.

Homework-  Tomorrow is the last chance to turn in any written assignments for the class.

8/1/16 Art History II

Today's class- We have begun the last week of this class.  I collected exams from all who were present, which will be graded and returned tomorrow.  I also collected research papers, museum visit assignments, and current events articles from students who still owed them.  A few students presented information from their research assignments, and if they included images, I showed them on the document camera to the rest of the class.

Homework- Nothing if you've already done all the written assignments.  If not, you have until Wednesday to get them done.

Tomorrow's class- Tests will be returned, and more student presentations.
