8/2/16 Art History II

Today's Class- I opened by having some students present current events articles that they had turned in yesterday, things that could lead to class discussions.  Topics today included should Hitler's boyhood home be preserved as a museum or destroyed (overwhelming opinion was the former) and should a replica of Michelangelo's David in a public space in Russia be left uncovered for all to see?  (Knowing that in Italy they have a full size replica in a public square, I'm ok with it, but conceded that it is up to the people in that location to decide.)  The second exams were returned graded.  Most people did better on this one than the previous one, though there were still some issues with the grading.  More written assignments were collected.

Homework-  Tomorrow is the last chance to turn in any written assignments for the class.
